An Intervention TV Show: Dealing With Crisis Intervention

When A Crisis Intervention Is Necessary

How do I know when a crisis intervention is needed? If the alcoholic or drug addict is a complete mess or if something specific has happened a crisis intervention may be in order. Sometimes if you’re afraid the addict is going to disappear then you want to get everyone together pronto to assist in a crisis intervention. If you’re worried they are going to get behind the wheel or try to hurt themselves or someone else while they are high on drugs or drunk out of their mind then you want to call for help immediately.

What Should I Know About Drug Intervention Programs

Drug intervention programs help family and friends who are considering staging an intervention. Addicts typically are in denial. Staging an intervention without an interventionist present is not the best idea. You need a professional there who is not bias and who knows all the tricks and games an addict can play. Sometimes you only get one shot to tell an addict they need help. You don’t want to blow it by being unprepared.

Is An Intervention TV Show A Real Depiction Of An Intervention?

With any form of entertainment there is a level of manipulation that takes place.
